The second most endangered shark is the Great White.
Why is the Great White shark second most endangered?
According to the World Wildlife Fund, the Great White is threatened by bycatch, hunting and getting entangled in the mesh that protects beaches and more.
Population and how we can help.
According to Our Endangered World, the current population (as of January) is 3,500 sharks and we can help. The World Wildlife Fund is supporting the sharks by monitoring and researching the Great Whites. The sharks are tagged and tracked by satellites. There protected area is the Guadalupe Island biosphere reserve. we can help by recycling, being sustainable, learning and understanding these wonderful creatures.
